I think I deserve a B- because I have done a bit more than last grading period by doing more of the assignment and completing them.

if I found a scorpion in my shoe the hard way would be it stinging me. but the sting probably wont make me take my shoe off. it probably would be is when my foot start swelling up and start looking nasty.

I enjoyed Carlos presentation because he has opened my eyes on find ways you can find a hobby. then by started to really enjoy a hobby you can turn it to business.

I thought his presentation was entertaining because he got us involved in doing the experiment. Also liked how my group finished and it was working how he said it was going to do.

So one day a cafeteria worker was working then when the worker Decided to take out the trash to the dumpster. Once the worker got to the dumpster he noticed a lamp. He got the the lamp and notice it was a magic lamp so started to rub it and thought a magical person would come out but instead he unleashed a alligator who was evil and wanted to destroy man kind. The worker got scary and started to panic. Then the alligator went at him and then he got to reality and notice it was an allusion. All that happened because he was day dreaming and look at the alligator costume.

a 52 year old rock star can take his own life for many reason. He could have be been hiding something that has finally caught up to him so no other escape he probably decided to take his life. Even though your rich and famous you would have some pain that you wouldn't wanna people to see.

If reading was good

if reading was good people would collaborate more. They would get more into the book and would want to talk about the book then stay quiet.

Gatsby is like in between because he haven't shown much for him to be known as a good guy or bad guy.

In the beginning of  chapter 3 when nick got a invitation to go to a "small party" but once he got there  he didn't know anyone and Gatsby was no where to be seen. This reminds me of when I was invited to a birthday party and when I showed up I didn't know anyone also the person who invited me wasn't even there.

In the first chapter of the Great Gatsby that got my attention was when Gatsby was stretching to a darkness trembling but then nick saw a green light which was odd for him but once he looked back at Gatsby he was gone. This part reminds me of scary movies because one moment they would look at something weird from far but get distracted. But when they look back at what they were looking at the person or object would disappear.

In Jimmy poem it shows how when they get to the new country they still have the same struggle as the old one. then im comparing the poem with the movie 7 soles when immigrants from mexico want to come to the US but have the struggle to come to the country. so the poem shows how they have struggle because the country is the same as their old one and in 7 soles they have a struggle and a consequences to come to the country like them dying just to have a better future.

Our future is up to us, it isn't up to anyone. every choice we make has a affect to our future. like for me I decided to not do my math work and thinking it wont affect me but now I have problem understanding how to do the work and I'm now failing the class. Also if you are yourself to everyone then people wont see you as a bad person because you would show how you really are which is a good person. in "A Sound of Thunder" when Eckel went out of the trail which lead him to stepping the butterfly that cause a change in the future by electing the wrong candidate as president. so by us doing the right things and think before what we do because anything could affect our future even the small choices we do can have a impact. so for us not wanting to focus and see who we really did we would make us think twice before we do it. Also that we should make choices that wont affect like how people decided to elect Donald as president that can affect the future of the united states. but we are gonna have to wait for that outcome. so we have to be careful for what we do.

MY MAD DREAM OF AN ESSAY

Remember that time you ate that spicy tamale just before you went to bed on the night before the big party ?  Oh, that weird dream you had about the 2016 presidential election.  When you woke up you couldn't quite remember the important details, but after reading "On Self-Reliance" and "A Sound of Thunder" it's all coming back to you now.

The dream started badly.  You were in line with your family at a bakery  waiting to be sent to jail.  Everywhere you looked there were posters of president-elect wienerschnitzel, looking like a crazy dogs who could eat a whole cow.  

Suddenly, there was Ralph Waldo Emerson telling you, "the only way to have a friend is to be one."  You realized that you have something to contribute to the world so you decided to help people.  But it wasn't easy.  First you had to put on a fancy clothes and shoes and then you had make a place to go back in time to the jail  so you could convince people to learn about the candidates and the deportation.

But right there in the jail there was a giant German Shepard  and it started barking at everyone.  People started to yell.  You grabbed a bomb from a nearby table and yelled everyone listen up.  Everyone stopped and listened, so you kept going.
